Reisdetails van Gambia
Omschrijving:
Lieve vrienden, familie en kennissen,
Zoals de meeste van jullie ondertussen al weten, vertrek ik morgen voor 4 maanden naar The Smiling Coast of Africa, ook wel Gambia genoemd. Hier ga ik mijn minor volgen bij de stichting Second Home in Kololi. Daarnaast zet ik samen met 6 andere studenten vanuit het Windesheim een project op voor Gambianen die per boot naar Europa willen komen.
Stichting Second Home zet zich in voor een betere toekomst voor kansarme kinderen. Het is een woonvoorziening waar kinderen met een verstandelijke beperking en/of leerachterstand terecht kunnen. Naast het opvangen van deze kinderen door de week, zorgt de stichting er ook voor dat deze kinderen naar school kunnen. Second Home is een stichting gericht op kinderen van het basis onderwijs, zodra ze van deze school af zijn is er in Gambia helemaal niks waar deze kinderen terecht kunnen.
De komende tijd zal ik mij daarom ook bezig gaan houden met wat er voor deze kinderen opgezet kan worden en kijken of er ondertussen al een organisatie voor deze kinderen is opgezet. Daarnaast ga ik ook 1 dag per week mee naar de school. Hier kijk ik hoe er gewerkt wordt aan de ontwikkeling van het kind en hoe het in Gambia er aan toe gaat.
Het project dat ik samen met mijn medestudenten ga opzetten moet ervoor zorgen dat Gambianen inzien dat ze het in Europa niet beter zullen krijgen en dat ze er meer voordeel uit halen om hun eigen land proberen op te bouwen. Hoe we het project vorm gaan geven, moeten we in Gambia nog even bekijken en overleggen.
Doormiddel van deze reisverslagen wil ik jullie op de hoogte proberen te houden van mijn tijd en ervaringen hier.

Reisdetails van Gambia
Omschrijving:
Lieve vrienden, familie en kennissen,
Zoals de meeste van jullie ondertussen al weten, vertrek ik morgen voor 4 maanden naar The Smiling Coast of Africa, ook wel Gambia genoemd. Hier ga ik mijn minor volgen bij de stichting Second Home in Kololi. Daarnaast zet ik samen met 6 andere studenten vanuit het Windesheim een project op voor Gambianen die per boot naar Europa willen komen.
Stichting Second Home zet zich in voor een betere toekomst voor kansarme kinderen. Het is een woonvoorziening waar kinderen met een verstandelijke beperking en/of leerachterstand terecht kunnen. Naast het opvangen van deze kinderen door de week, zorgt de stichting er ook voor dat deze kinderen naar school kunnen. Second Home is een stichting gericht op kinderen van het basis onderwijs, zodra ze van deze school af zijn is er in Gambia helemaal niks waar deze kinderen terecht kunnen.
De komende tijd zal ik mij daarom ook bezig gaan houden met wat er voor deze kinderen opgezet kan worden en kijken of er ondertussen al een organisatie voor deze kinderen is opgezet. Daarnaast ga ik ook 1 dag per week mee naar de school. Hier kijk ik hoe er gewerkt wordt aan de ontwikkeling van het kind en hoe het in Gambia er aan toe gaat.
Het project dat ik samen met mijn medestudenten ga opzetten moet ervoor zorgen dat Gambianen inzien dat ze het in Europa niet beter zullen krijgen en dat ze er meer voordeel uit halen om hun eigen land proberen op te bouwen. Hoe we het project vorm gaan geven, moeten we in Gambia nog even bekijken en overleggen.
Doormiddel van deze reisverslagen wil ik jullie op de hoogte proberen te houden van mijn tijd en ervaringen hier.

Reisdetails van Gambia
Omschrijving:
Lieve vrienden, familie en kennissen,
Zoals de meeste van jullie ondertussen al weten, vertrek ik morgen voor 4 maanden naar The Smiling Coast of Africa, ook wel Gambia genoemd. Hier ga ik mijn minor volgen bij de stichting Second Home in Kololi. Daarnaast zet ik samen met 6 andere studenten vanuit het Windesheim een project op voor Gambianen die per boot naar Europa willen komen.
Stichting Second Home zet zich in voor een betere toekomst voor kansarme kinderen. Het is een woonvoorziening waar kinderen met een verstandelijke beperking en/of leerachterstand terecht kunnen. Naast het opvangen van deze kinderen door de week, zorgt de stichting er ook voor dat deze kinderen naar school kunnen. Second Home is een stichting gericht op kinderen van het basis onderwijs, zodra ze van deze school af zijn is er in Gambia helemaal niks waar deze kinderen terecht kunnen.
De komende tijd zal ik mij daarom ook bezig gaan houden met wat er voor deze kinderen opgezet kan worden en kijken of er ondertussen al een organisatie voor deze kinderen is opgezet. Daarnaast ga ik ook 1 dag per week mee naar de school. Hier kijk ik hoe er gewerkt wordt aan de ontwikkeling van het kind en hoe het in Gambia er aan toe gaat.
Het project dat ik samen met mijn medestudenten ga opzetten moet ervoor zorgen dat Gambianen inzien dat ze het in Europa niet beter zullen krijgen en dat ze er meer voordeel uit halen om hun eigen land proberen op te bouwen. Hoe we het project vorm gaan geven, moeten we in Gambia nog even bekijken en overleggen.
Doormiddel van deze reisverslagen wil ik jullie op de hoogte proberen te houden van mijn tijd en ervaringen hier.

Reisdetails van Gambia
Omschrijving:
Lieve vrienden, familie en kennissen,
Zoals de meeste van jullie ondertussen al weten, vertrek ik morgen voor 4 maanden naar The Smiling Coast of Africa, ook wel Gambia genoemd. Hier ga ik mijn minor volgen bij de stichting Second Home in Kololi. Daarnaast zet ik samen met 6 andere studenten vanuit het Windesheim een project op voor Gambianen die per boot naar Europa willen komen.
Stichting Second Home zet zich in voor een betere toekomst voor kansarme kinderen. Het is een woonvoorziening waar kinderen met een verstandelijke beperking en/of leerachterstand terecht kunnen. Naast het opvangen van deze kinderen door de week, zorgt de stichting er ook voor dat deze kinderen naar school kunnen. Second Home is een stichting gericht op kinderen van het basis onderwijs, zodra ze van deze school af zijn is er in Gambia helemaal niks waar deze kinderen terecht kunnen.
De komende tijd zal ik mij daarom ook bezig gaan houden met wat er voor deze kinderen opgezet kan worden en kijken of er ondertussen al een organisatie voor deze kinderen is opgezet. Daarnaast ga ik ook 1 dag per week mee naar de school. Hier kijk ik hoe er gewerkt wordt aan de ontwikkeling van het kind en hoe het in Gambia er aan toe gaat.
Het project dat ik samen met mijn medestudenten ga opzetten moet ervoor zorgen dat Gambianen inzien dat ze het in Europa niet beter zullen krijgen en dat ze er meer voordeel uit halen om hun eigen land proberen op te bouwen. Hoe we het project vorm gaan geven, moeten we in Gambia nog even bekijken en overleggen.
Doormiddel van deze reisverslagen wil ik jullie op de hoogte proberen te houden van mijn tijd en ervaringen hier.

Hier ga ik mijn minor volgen bij de stichting Second Home in Kololi. Daarnaast zet ik samen met 6 andere studenten vanuit het Windesheim een project op voor Gambianen die per boot naar Europa willen komen.
Stichting Second Home zet zich in voor een betere toekomst voor kansarme kinderen. Het is een woonvoorziening waar kinderen met een verstandelijke beperking en/of leerachterstand terecht kunnen. Naast het opvangen van deze kinderen door de week, zorgt de stichting er ook voor dat deze kinderen naar school kunnen. Second Home is een stichting gericht op kinderen van het basis onderwijs, zodra ze van deze school af zijn is er in Gambia helemaal niks waar deze kinderen terecht kunnen.
De komende tijd zal ik mij daarom ook bezig gaan houden met wat er voor deze kinderen opgezet kan worden en kijken of er ondertussen al een organisatie voor deze kinderen is opgezet. Daarnaast ga ik ook 1 dag per week mee naar de school. Hier kijk ik hoe er gewerkt wordt aan de ontwikkeling van het kind en hoe het in Gambia er aan toe gaat.
Het project dat ik samen met mijn medestudenten ga opzetten moet ervoor zorgen dat Gambianen inzien dat ze het in Europa niet beter zullen krijgen en dat ze er meer voordeel uit halen om hun eigen land proberen op te bouwen. Hoe we het project vorm gaan geven, moeten we in Gambia nog even bekijken en overleggen.
